Calyraen Learn

Learn anything, for free, at your own pace

A full learning portal with real subjects, clear lessons, and certificates when you finish. No cost, no jargon, and no rush. Open a lesson whenever you have a few minutes and pick up exactly where you left off.

You do not need to know anything to begin. Every subject starts from zero.

Short lessons, plain words, and a worked example before you try it yourself. If a lesson uses a new word, it explains the word first.

Why people stay

The whole portal is built around four simple promises.

Genuinely free

Every lesson and every track is open. No paywall, no trial that ends, and no plan to upgrade to. You never enter a card.

At your own pace

No classes to attend and nothing that is due. Do one lesson a day or ten in a row. Your place is always saved.

Plain language

Lessons are written for a real person, not a textbook. New words are explained before they are used.

Something to show

Finish a track and get a certificate of completion with your name and the date, free to download or print.

Where to begin

Three ways into the portal. Pick the one that fits you.

Browse the subjects

See everything on offer, from reading and maths to coding and languages. Open any lesson straight away, no track required.

Browse subjects

Follow a track

Prefer a clear path? A track lines up the lessons in the right order and gives you a certificate at the end.

Start a track

Set up a class

Teaching a group? Create a free class, add students with a join code, assign tracks, and watch their progress.

For schools

How a lesson feels

The same gentle shape every time, so you always know what to expect.

Read a little

A short read, a few minutes long, that teaches one idea and nothing more. No long chapters and no walls of text.

See it done

A worked example shows the idea all the way through, with each step explained as it happens.

Try it yourself

A few quick questions let you have a go. Get one wrong and it kindly shows you the lesson again.

Move on when ready

When it has stuck, the next lesson is one tap away. When it has not, you can redo it as often as you like.

Why Calyraen Learn exists

Learning should not depend on what you can pay

Calyraen Learn is a full learning portal, not a sample and not a sign-up funnel. The whole of it is here, free for anyone, whether you are catching up on something you missed, picking up a new skill, or helping a room full of students. You make a free account, the portal remembers where you are, and you learn at the pace that suits your life.

Make a free account, pick a subject, and take the first lesson. It costs nothing, your place is always saved, and you can stop and start whenever life allows.

What you can learn

Pick a subject and start anywhere

Every subject is built the same way. Short lessons, plain words, and a worked example before you try it yourself. You do not need a background in any of this. If a lesson uses a new word, it explains the word first. You can jump straight to what you came for, or follow a track from the first lesson to the last.

The core subjects

Each one starts from zero. No prior lessons required.

Reading and writing

Build up from sounding out words to writing a clear paragraph. Includes grammar you can actually use, how to write an email, and how to read something carefully and say what it means.

Open reading and writing

Maths from the start

Counting, fractions, percentages, and basic algebra, each shown step by step. Every method comes with a real example, like working out a discount or splitting a bill.

Open maths

Everyday money

What a budget is, how interest works, how to read a bank statement, and what a credit score measures. This explains how money works. It does not tell you what to do with yours.

Open money basics

Using a computer

Turning a machine on, finding your files, staying safe online, spotting a scam email, and setting a strong password. Written for someone who has never touched a keyboard.

Open computer basics

Science you can see

Why the sky is blue, how plants make food, what a cell is, and how weather forms. Each idea is tied to something you can watch happen at home or outside.

Open science

Languages

Start a new language with everyday phrases first, then build grammar slowly. Audio for every phrase so you hear it before you say it. Practice in short daily sets.

Open languages

History and the world

Big events explained in order, with maps and timelines so you can see what happened when and where. Short reads, not long chapters.

Open history

Study and work skills

How to take notes, how to remember what you read, how to prepare for a test, and how to write a simple CV. Practical lessons you can use the same week.

Open study skills

Coding for beginners

Your first lines of code with nothing to install. See a small program run, change one thing, and watch what happens. No jargon until you are ready for it.

Open coding

How a subject is laid out

The shape is the same everywhere, so once you learn one you can find your way around all of them.

Lessons in order

Each subject is a list of short lessons, top to bottom. You can read them in order or open just the one you need.

A worked example first

Before you practice, you see one done all the way through, with each step explained in plain words.

A small check at the end

A few quick questions tell you if it stuck. Get one wrong and it shows you the lesson again, no penalty.

Save your place

Close the page and come back later. The subject remembers where you stopped, so you never lose your spot.

Questions about subjects

No. You can open any lesson in any subject right away. The track is there if you want a clear path, but nothing is locked.

Every subject has a slower starting track that assumes you know nothing. If a lesson still moves too fast, the check at the end points you back to the part you missed.

Yes. New subjects and lessons are added over time. Anything you have already started stays exactly where it was.

Your pace, your way

Learn when it suits you

There are no live classes and no set times. You open a lesson when you have a few minutes, learn a little, and stop when you need to. Calyraen Learn keeps your place, tracks what you have finished, and gives you a certificate of completion when you reach the end of a track. Everything below explains exactly how that works.

The three things to understand

Self-paced lessons, tracks that group them, and a certificate at the end.

Self-paced means no clock

Nothing expires and nothing is due. A lesson takes five to fifteen minutes. Do one a day or ten in a row. It is entirely up to you.

A track is a set path

A track is a list of lessons in the right order, like Reading from the start or Money basics. Finish a track and you have covered the whole topic.

A certificate of completion

When you finish all the lessons in a track, you get a certificate of completion with your name and the date. You can download it or print it.

A progress bar you can trust

Each track shows a bar that fills as you go. You always know how much is done and how much is left.

Redo anything

Already finished a lesson but want to see it again? Open it any time. Redoing a lesson never resets your progress.

Pick up on any device

Start on a phone on the bus, carry on at home on a laptop. Your place follows your account, not the device.

What the certificate of completion says

A plain, honest record that you finished a track. It is a record of work done, not a formal qualification.

On the certificate
Your name
Exactly as set in your account
Track name
The full track you completed, for example Maths from the start
Date completed
The day you finished the last lesson
Lessons covered
A list of every lesson in the track
What you can do with it
Download
Save it as a file to keep
Print
Print a copy for yourself or to show someone
Share a link
Send a view-only link to anyone you choose
What it is not
A graded exam
It records completion, not a score
A formal qualification
It is a certificate of completion, not an accredited diploma

Common questions

No. Your progress is saved to your account and stays there. Come back whenever you like and pick up where you left off.

No. A track is just lessons in order. Do one lesson, close the page, and the rest will be waiting next time.

Certificates are given for finishing a full track, since a track covers a complete topic. Individual lessons still show as done on your progress bar.

The checks at the end of a lesson are there to help, not to grade you. Getting an answer wrong just shows you the lesson again. Nothing is recorded as a failure.

Free classroom tools

Built for teachers, free to use

If you teach, you can set up a class, add your students, assign tracks, and see how everyone is getting on, all from one screen. The tools are free for every school and every teacher. There is no per-student fee and no upgrade you need to buy. Everything described here is included.

What a teacher account gives you

Set work, watch progress, and step in where it helps.

Create a class

Make a class in a minute and add students by sharing a join code. No long forms and no setup fee.

Assign tracks

Pick a track and set it for the whole class or for one student. They get it the next time they log in.

See who is where

One screen shows every student and how far they have got. Spot who is flying ahead and who needs a hand.

Spot where people get stuck

When several students slow down on the same lesson, it is highlighted, so you know what to go over in class.

A safe space for students

Student accounts in a class are kept simple and private. There is no public profile and no messaging between students.

Print or project

Lessons can be projected on a board or printed as a handout, so the same material works online and on paper.

Set up in three steps

From nothing to a working class in about ten minutes.

1. Make your class

Create a class and give it a name. You get a join code to hand out. Students enter the code and they are in.

Create a class

2. Assign a track

Choose a track that fits your lesson and assign it. The whole class sees it the next time they sign in.

See available tracks

3. Watch it happen

Open the class screen any time to see progress fill in. Use it to plan what to cover next.

Questions from teachers

Yes. The classroom tools are free for every school and teacher, with no per-student charge and nothing to upgrade. The For schools tools are part of the same free portal.

No. You can add students with a class join code and a simple name, which keeps younger students off email entirely.

You can see how far each student has progressed and where the class is getting stuck. The focus is on progress and trouble spots, not on grading individual answers.

There is no fee-based limit. Add a single small group or a whole year group. You can also run more than one class from the same teacher account.

Free means free. Every lesson, every track, every subject.

No paywall, no trial that ends, no plan to upgrade to. The whole portal is open to anyone with an account.

What free actually means here

Plain answers to the question everyone asks first.

Nothing is locked

Every lesson and every track is open from the start. There is no premium tier holding back the good parts.

No trial that runs out

This is not a free trial. There is no day thirty when the price appears. It stays free.

No card needed

You never enter card details to learn. There is nothing to pay for, so there is nothing to take payment with.

No ads in lessons

Lessons are not interrupted by advertising. You read and learn without things selling to you in the middle.

Certificates are free too

Finishing a track and getting a certificate of completion costs nothing. There is no fee to unlock or download it.

Free for schools as well

The classroom tools for teachers are free on the same terms. No per-student fee, ever.

The fine print, in plain words

There is no catch on price. You make a free account so the portal can save your place and your progress. That is the only thing it asks of you.

The learning portal is built to stay free to use. New subjects and tracks are added on the same free terms as everything already here.

The account is what remembers where you stopped, fills in your progress bar, and holds your certificates. It is for keeping your work, not for charging you.

Lessons are kept free of advertising so nothing breaks your concentration while you are learning.

Make a free account and begin

Pick a subject, start a track, and learn at your own pace. It stays free, your place is always saved, and a certificate of completion is waiting at the end of every track.
