Getting started

Set up your new Calyraen PC

2 min read

This guide walks you through setting up a brand new Calyraen computer, from opening the box to installing your first updates. It works for any of our lines: Stratus, Vantage, Atlas, and Forge.

Unbox and check what's inside

Open the box on a clean, flat surface and lift the machine out by its packaging, not by the screen or ports.

  • Check the contents against the packing card. You should have the computer, its power adapter and cable, and a quick-start card.
  • Keep the box and foam until you are sure everything works. They help if you ever need to ship the machine back.
  • Find the serial number on the box label or on the device itself, and write it down. You will need it if you contact support later.

Connect power and turn it on

Plug the power adapter into the wall and into the machine. If you have a Stratus laptop, let it charge for a few minutes before the first boot.

Press the power button, then wait. The first startup can take a couple of minutes. Button placement varies by model, so check your product page under /products if you cannot find it.

First-run setup with Calyraen OS

The first time it powers on, Calyraen OS walks you through a short setup:

  1. Pick your language and region.
  2. Choose your keyboard layout.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi. Select your network and type the password. A wired connection also works if you have one.

Sign in or create your account

  • If you already ordered from us, sign in at /login with the same email.
  • New to Calyraen? Create an account at /register.
  • You can view or edit your details anytime at /account.

Move files from your old machine

You do not have to do this during setup. When you are ready, pick one:

  • External drive: copy your files onto a USB drive, plug it into the new PC, and drag them into your folders.
  • Cloud storage: sign in to your cloud account and download your files.

Install available updates

Once you are signed in, open Settings and go to Updates (or search for "Updates"). Install everything that is offered and restart if asked. Leaving automatic updates on keeps things current.

If you still need help

Open a ticket at /support. Have your order number and serial number ready, plus photos if something looks wrong.

Thanks for the feedback.
