Do I need a Calyraen machine to use it?
No. Essentials runs in any browser on any computer. A Calyraen machine adds full local speed, offline work and a backup that covers the whole computer, but it is never required.
What happens to my data?
It stays yours. Everything is encrypted on the way and at rest, we do not read it, and we do not sell it. New sign-ins need your approval, and one tap signs a device out everywhere.
Can I leave and take everything?
Yes. Download everything you own in ordinary formats and close the account whenever you like. Nothing is held hostage.
Do I have to remember to back things up?
No. Your cloud is copied continuously in the background. Restores are self service and immediate, with no ticket and no recovery fee.
How do updates work?
The apps update quietly in the cloud, for everyone at once. There is no version to check and no update to postpone.
