Seven years of parts and updates.

Buy a machine from us and it keeps getting security updates and repair parts for seven years after its line launches. We publish the date for every line and keep it current.

The promise

No countdown you didn't choose.

Most computers get quietly abandoned a couple of years in. The updates stop, the parts run out, and one day you are told to buy a new one. We do it the other way round. Every machine we sell gets security updates and repair parts for seven years from the day its line launches. That clock is the same whether you bought yours on launch day or three years later, and it does not reset because a newer model arrived.

Two promises

Kept safe, and kept running.

Updates

Security updates, the whole time

For seven years your machine gets the security fixes that keep it safe to use. They arrive on their own, so you are never left running something with a known hole in it just because the model got old.

Parts

Repair parts stay on the shelf

We keep the parts to fix your machine in stock for the same seven years. A worn battery, a tired fan or a cracked panel is a repair, not a reason to replace the whole thing. You can do it, or hand it to someone who does.

On the record

The date is on the page, not in the fine print.

Every product line has its seven-year date written down where you can see it, and we keep it current as new machines join the family. You do not have to email us to find out how long your machine is covered. It is public, and it is plain.

Support dates are listed per line and updated as the lineup changes.

The parts people usually hide.

Seven years from launch, not from your invoice

The clock starts when the line launches.

We count the seven years from the day a product line first ships, and we publish that date. If you buy a machine a year into its life, it is covered for the years that remain. We tell you exactly how many before you buy, so there is no guessing.

When the seven years are up

You hear about it well ahead of time.

Support does not vanish overnight. As a line nears the end of its seven years, we say so clearly and early, so you can plan a replacement on your own schedule instead of ours. A machine that still does the job is welcome to keep doing it.

Updates you don't have to chase

They install themselves.

Security updates arrive on their own for the whole seven years. There is nothing to download, no licence to renew and no add-on to buy to keep getting them. Keeping your machine safe is part of owning it, not an upsell.

“A machine should be replaced when it stops doing the job, not when we stop supporting it.”

The long view

Still supported long after the rest have quit.

Plenty of machines are written off two or three years in. Yours keeps getting fixes and parts for seven, which is usually longer than the work it was bought to do. That is the whole idea: buy it once, keep it running, replace it when you decide to.

How we build them to last
Questions

Asked and answered.

Do the updates cost extra?

No. Security updates are included for the full seven years. You will never get a bill to keep your machine safe.

Do I have to be under warranty to buy parts?

No. The parts stay available for seven years whether or not the warranty is still running. Warranty is a separate promise. Parts availability is simply about keeping the machine fixable.

Can a local repair shop get the parts?

Yes. We do not lock repairs to ourselves. The parts and our repair guides are there for you, or for whoever you trust to do the work.

Where do I find the date for my machine?

On the commitments page, listed per product line and kept current. If your machine is a few years old, the remaining years are counted from its line's launch, and we will tell you the exact figure.
